COLUMBIA STREET WATEFRONT DISTRICT — More than a $1,100 worth of popsicles, ice cream cones, toppings and other products were stolen from a host of ice cream trucks left overnight in a parking lot this weekend, police said.

The ice cream trucks, which were parked in a private lot on Sackett Street, were broken into early Sunday morning some time between 1 a.m. and 3:30 a.m., police said.

The hungry thief made off with roughly $1,100 in Good Humor ice cream popsicles as well as $140 in ice cream cones and eight Yogolicious ice cream mixes worth $82, according to the police report.

Other stolen items included a $400 Sony television, an "ice cream product" worth $500 and more than $2,200 in cash and coins.

Almond and marshmallow toppings worth a total of $30 were also taken, police said.
