LOWER EAST SIDE — A 53-year-old woman found that items worth more than $21,600 total had disappeared from her bag when she arrived at an Orchard Street art gallery last week, police said.

The missing property included a $15,000 art deco ring, a $6,000 Tiffany diamond wedding band, a $400 Louis Vuitton wallet and $220 in cash, according to the NYPD. The woman’s credit cards, which were in the wallet, were also taken, police said.

The woman, who had visited a fruit stand before the incident, did not open her bag until she arrived at the gallery, located at 33 Orchard St., she told police. She remembered a woman jostling her at Eldridge Street, police said.
