CONCOURSE — The upcoming coffee shop in the Bronx Museum of the Arts finally has a name: The XM Cafe.

The museum has been attempting to name its cafe since mid-June, when it asked members of the public to submit ideas for what to call the coffee shop.

An internal committee at the museum then narrowed down all 310 submissions to three final options: Cafe 1040, The Spot and XM Cafe, which is designed to include the "X" and the M" that interlock in the museum's logo.

People were encouraged to vote for their favorite option out of the three earlier in July, and the XM Cafe proved to be the winning submission.

The coffee shop should be open soon and will keep hours of 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Fridays and 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. It will be closed Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The XM Cafe will serve salads, coffee, sandwiches, pastries and wine.
