ASTORIA — Co-working company WeWork, which offers amenity-packed shared office spaces for small businesses and entrepreneurs, is planning to open a spot in Queens.

The company confirmed that it will be taking over more than 51,000-square-feet of space at 35-37 36th St. in Astoria, the same building that houses beer garden and event space Studio Square.

A rep for WeWork said it will be occupying four floors of the property, as well as its roof. The company declined to comment further on its plans for the site, but told the Commercial Observer that it hopes to open next year.

WeWork joins a growing number of shared office spaces popping up in Western Queens in recent years, including QNS Collective, which operates out of a renovated former electrical supply warehouse just a block away.

WeWork has 17 locations in the city including in DUMBO, Chelsea and the Financial District. This would be its first location in Queens, according to its website.

The company bills itself as a work "community" where offices boast amenities like arcade rooms, bike storage and at least one New York location — in SoHo — that allows dogs.

Memberships at most locations start at $45 a month, with the most expensive being $1,000 a month for a private office at its Bryant Park site.
