LOWER MANHATTAN — A Shake Shack rival is bringing its burgers to Church Street.
Schnippers Quality Kitchen, a fast-casual restaurant known for its burgers, hot dogs and shakes, is slated to open a new location at 120 Church St., which sits a couple of blocks from the World Trade Center, the Commercial Observer reported.
This will be the second downtown location for the New York City chain — Schnippers opened at One New York Plaza earlier this year.
Brothers Jonathan and Andrew Schnipper opened the first Schnipper’s 2009, at the base of the New York Times Building on 41st Street and Eighth Avenue.
The new outpost will open by the end of this year, according to their Facebook page.
The restaurant, which also serves up salads and tacos, currently has four locations, all in Manhattan.
