PROSPECT HEIGHTS — Two teen friends were shot, one of them five times, near the Brooklyn Museum Sunday night, police said.

There were no immediate arrests, an NYPD spokesman said.

The boys, 15 and 14, were celebrating a Trinidadian holiday in Mount Prospect Park behind the museum, at 200 Eastern Parkway, about 9:15 p.m. when the shooting erupted, family and police said.

The 15-year-old was hit five times in his leg, arm and torso, according to his sister, Jadah Maxwell, 17.

The boy, a high school senior was taken to Methodist Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.

"He's fine. He's conscious. He's talking. He's not crying. He's more worried about us worrying about him," Maxwell said.

"He's a great kid. He's loving. He's fun. He wants to go to college," said friend and classmate Anthony Asseviro, 16.

The 14-year-old boy was also listed in condition at Methodist, police said.

It was not immediately clear what sparked the shooting.

Two teen boys between the ages of 14 and 16 were seen fleeing along Eastern Parkway, an NYPD spokesman said. One of them had braids in his hair, he added.
