WILLIAMSBURG — A man's face was repeatedly slashed during an argument over $2 in a Williamsburg bodega Tuesday morning, witnesses and officials said.

Graphic surveillance footage shows the 53-year-old man, dressed in a reflective vest and baseball cap, talking to two people in a bodega near Division Avenue and Berry Street about 10:13 a.m., according to officials and witnesses.

One of them, a man, had given the 53-year-old $2 to buy something at the store, witnesses said. The 53-year-old didn't return quickly so the lender confronted him in the store, witnesses said.

"The guy came to the store and said, 'Where's the money? Where's the $2?'" said Danny Rodriguez, 38, who works at the bodega.

As they talk, the man grabs the victim's hat and reaches over to slash the left side of his face three times with a razor, the video shows.

Apparently stunned, the man brings his palm to his face and then down again to look at it.

"There was a lot of blood. He was cut on the left side of his face," Rodriguez said.

"I told someone to call the cops. The attacker ran away," he added.

The victim was treated at Woodhull hospital where he was listed in stable condition, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

The attacker was not immediately arrested, she added.
