QUEENS — Bring a chair and blanket and enjoy jazz while eating food right off the grill during outdoor concerts held at a Jamaica park this summer.

“Jazz on the Lawn, Barbecue Style," organized by The Black Spectrum Theatre at Roy Wilkins Park, will feature several musicians during its four week series, held on Thursdays in the month of July, the organizers said.

The Craig Crawford Players and Adam Phillips (M.C.), who specialize in contemporary jazz, will kick off the series this Thursday.

Other artists scheduled to perform this summer include jazz and R&B singer LaDee Streeter, jazz vocalist Rome Neal and Chris Curry & Friends, who will play during the final performance on July 30.

Concerts, which will run from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., will be held outside the theater complex, which is based in the park.

The Black Spectrum Theatre is located at 177th Street and Baisley Blvd. in Jamaica. For more information go here or call 718 723 1800. Tickets cost $20 (food included).
