EAST HARLEM — Two women found their purses pilfered after sharing an Uber taxi with a stranger, police said.

The women, both 21 and originally from Ireland but now living in East Harlem, took an Uber from Greenwich Village to East 118th St. about 4:20 a.m. on July 2, police said.

They shared the ride with a female stranger who ordered and paid for the car-sharing service.

When they exited the vehicle at Pleasant Avenue and 118th Street, they noticed that their IDs, cell phones and cash were missing from their purses, police said.

The thief got away with $180 in cash, a $650 Samsung cell phone, a $450 iPhone with a unicorn cover, an Irish passport and an Irish driver's license, according to the NYPD.
