Carla Hall has all sorts of changes planned for the Columbia Waterfront District.
The celebrity chef and co-host of "The Chew" is planning to open her first restaurant at 115 Columbia St., the former location of Andy Ricker's Whiskey Soda Lounge NY, which shuttered Friday, Eater first reported.
"Despite a small loyal following and critical success... WSLNY never found it's [sic] footing in the neighborhood," Ricker told Eater in a statement.
"The good news, and the exciting part of this turn of events, is that we have found a buyer for the space in the person of Carla Hall and her team," he added.
The food blog says the new eatery will likely be "Carla Hall's Southern Kitchen," a Nashville-style Hot Chicken restaurant that has raised $264,703 through a Kickstarter campaign.
And if Hall gets her way, that's not the only change on tap for the Columbia Street Waterfront District — a new name might be in order as well.
"We're heading to Brooklyn baby!" Hall wrote on her Kickstarter page on July 3. "More specifically Cobble Hook, between Red Hook and Cobble Hill."
The post goes on to say that she plans to open by the fall.
