UPPER WEST SIDE — Locals won't have to contend with the Saturday morning rush for bagels and lox at Zabar's anymore.

The 81-year-old family-run store announced Monday it has partnered with Instacart, a personal shopping and delivery service that offers on-demand groceries.

Customers can shop the store via Instacart's site, choosing from Zabar's cheese, coffee and baked goods sections as well as produce, meat and seafood and household items, among others.

Once an order is placed — within Zabar's business hours — an Instacart employee will head to the store, do the shopping and then deliver the groceries within either an hour or two-hour window.

The service will serve Zabar's customers anywhere between 42nd and 135th streets on both the West and East Sides.

Downtown Manhattan customers will have access later this year, likely in the fall or winter, said an Instacart spokeswoman.

"We want to give our Zabar's fans that are not always able to make it into the store an easier way to shop with us, and with Instacart we can do that," said co-owners Saul and Stanley Zabar in a statement Monday.

Whole Foods, Fairway and Costco are also partnering with Instacart in the same delivery zone.
