WEST VILLAGE — A woman hit an NYPD officer in the face with a large plastic mug of alcohol at the Pride Parade, police said.

The 21-year-old woman was attempting to pass police barricades at the northwest corner of Washington Street and West Houston Street a little before 7 p.m. on June 28, police said.

The officer, Genner Gomez, told her multiple times that she could not to go past the barricades, and when she refused to listen, the officer tried to block her, according to the criminal complaint and police.

The woman then hit him in the face with the mug, cutting the officer's upper lip and causing him "substantial pain," according to the officer's official report.

Gomez said in the complaint that he was unable to handcuff the woman, who is 5-foot-3 and weighs 105 pounds, "without the assistance of other NYPD officers."

She was charged with resisting arrest, as well as four other misdemeanors and one violation.

The violation was for for harassment in the second degree for making physical contact with the officer.

The woman was released without bail and is due back in court on Sept. 8. Her attorney declined to comment.
