MIDTOWN — LIRR and NJ Transit commuters will soon be able to end their day with a high-end cupcake from Magnolia Bakery — but even the sweets shop made famous by "Sex and the City" thinks its new digs are subpar, according to the New York Post.

The store — which will reportedly be 1,100 square feet and will replace a Carvel/Cinnabon — won't be as nice as some of the chain's other locations, according to the company's CEO.

"Obviously, the context isn't as nice as Grand Central," Magnolia CEO Steve Abrams told the Post. "But context isn't everything."

Magnolia's cupcake of the month for June will be a strawberry cupcake topped with strawberry meringue icing, according to Magnolia's website.

The company confirmed the Penn Station opening this year in a statement.

"Magnolia Bakery is thrilled to be part of Penn Station’s revitalization and we are so excited to be serving daily commuters very soon (we anticipate opening this fall)," spokeswoman Sara Gramling wrote in an email. "We look forward to being part of the effort to create an enjoyable environment that New Yorkers can take part in every day."
