Police Release Video of Suspect in East Harlem Shooting of Four People

MANHATTAN — Police released video of a man wanted in connection with the broad daylight shooting of four people outside of an East Harlem deli Wednesday afternoon.

The suspect, believed to be in his late teens or early 20s, was spotted on surveillance camera walking casually down the street wearing a dark T-shirt and black hat after the shooting. 

The man opened fire in front of the Twenty Stars Deli on East 132nd Street at about 1:24 p.m. on June 24, shooting off seven rounds and striking four people.

A 25-year-old man was hit in the left arm and back of his neck. A 24-year-old woman was grazed in her calf.

Another 17-year-old man was shot in his shoulder, and a 43-year-old man was hit in his neck.

The victims are all in stable condition and expected to survive.  

So far this year, there have been 577 shooting victims in the city between Jan. 1 and June 14, which is up from 523 during the same period last year.

There have been 46 people shot in Harlem, compared with 32 during the same time in 2014.
