Man Wanted in Connection to Boerum Hill Shooting, Police Say

BOERUM HILL — Police are searching for a man wanted in connection to a shooting on a basketball court that left three men wounded earlier this month, officials said.

Authorities are looking to question 24-year-old Sherif Ewis for the shooting on June 10 at 5:51 p.m. behind 423 Baltic St. in the Gowanus Houses, police said

The shooting took place feet away from a crowded playground near the intersection of Bond and Wyckoff streets, witnesses and officials said. 

One victim, a 25-year-old man, was shot in his right leg, while a second victim, a 19-year-old man, was shot in the torso and the third victim, a 28-year-old man, was hit in the left ankle, police said. All three were in stable condition.

Police described Ewis as 5-foot-5 and 185 pounds.
