SOUTH WILLIAMSBURG — Former Governor Eliot Spitzer's massive new South Williamsburg development project was revealed Tuesday, showing a glossy project with three towers along Kent Avenue.

The three 24-story towers at 420 Kent Ave., designed by architecture firm ODA New York, will house 856 rental apartments and two rooftop pools, according to The New York Times.

Spitzer, who is developing the property on behalf of his family's real estate company, Spitzer Enterprises, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The politician — who resigned from the governor's office in 2008 after being linked to a prostitution ring — purchased the long-stalled property from developer Rector Hylan last year for $165 million, according to Department of Finance records.

The $700 million 420 Kent Ave. project will maximize outdoor space and views, including a walk along the river and a "molded iceberg" look for the buildings, the architect told the Times.

Spitzer is one of many developers to place big bets on South Williamsburg, the area of the neighborhood south of Grand Street.

The development on the former Domino Sugar Factory property is expected to bring thousands of units to the neighborhood. And beyond that, some 600 additional new units are expected to be completed in the neighborhood by this year and early next year.

Most of the apartments are luxury buildings with amenities like rooftop terraces and yoga rooms, though some of the new developments will include affordable apartments.

It's unclear when Spitzer's development is expected to be completed.
