FORT GREENE — The Greene Grape's Fulton Street empire — which includes coffee, wine and gourmet groceries — will soon add ice cream to the list.

Greene Grape Scoops is set to open on June 24 serving ice cream from local creameries including Blue Marble, Adirondack Creamery, Ronnybrook and Phin & Phebes Ice Cream.

Scoops, to be located at 680 Fulton St., is joining the Greene Grape Annex coffee shop at 753 Fulton St., Provisions at 767 Fulton St. and the original Greene Grape Wine shop at 765 Fulton St.

Greene Grape's in-house pastry chef will also be featuring specialties like sundaes, ice cream sandwiches and ice cream soda floats.

"We just want it to be fun because that's what ice cream is," owner Amy Bennett said about Scoops.

The storefront is the former home of Greene Grape Annex, which moved across the street to a bigger space last year.

Bennett said the location was perfect for an ice cream shop.

"It's what the space wants to be," she said. "It's like breathing a sigh of relief that it is finally what it was meant to be."
