WESTERLEIGH — A Staten Island man allegedly punched a 66-year-old man in the face after he said he saw him blow through a stop sign, prosecutors said.

On Friday, Anthony Caratelli, 42, said he saw the driver — who he lives near in Westerleigh — blow through a stop sign at Maine Avenue at 7 p.m., prosecutors said.

Caratelli started to shout and yell at the other driver, honked his horn, then drove in front of him and blocked his car near the intersection of Watchogue Road and Woolley Avenue, prosecutors said.

He got out of the car and repeatedly punched the driver in his face, grabbed his left arm and pulled on it, prosecutors said.

He was charged with assault and harassment at his arraignment on Saturday, according to the District Attorney's office.

His lawyer could not be reached for comment.
