MIDTOWN — A homeless man was found dead on a Midtown street with cuts across his chin Sunday morning, police said.
The 62-year-old man, whose name was not immediately released, had been fighting another homeless man near Sixth Avenue and West 36th Street about 9:20 a.m., NYPD officials said.
The second man shoved the 62-year-old to the ground, according to surveillance video, police said.
The 62-year-old was pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital, police said.
The medical examiner's office will determine his cause of death, police said.
The second homeless man was taken into custody but charges against him were pending results from the medical examainer's office, police said.
