BROOKLYN — A man on a motor scooter was run over by an SUV in Park Slope Wednesday morning, witnesses said.
The man, whose identity was not immediately released, was riding north on Fourth Avenue about 8:32 a.m. when he was hit by a 2010 Lexus SUV that was heading the opposite direction and turned left onto Fifth Street, an NYPD spokeswoman said.
"I saw the guy under the car. His whole body was under the car. I don't know how he hit him," said Jamul John, 27, who works at a nearby taxi garage.
"That was ridiculous. That was crazy," John added.
He was treated at Methodist Hospital where he was listed in stable condition, police said.
The 59-year-old woman behind the wheel of the SUV was not immediately charged or ticketed, police said.
"This is the first time I’ve seen someone under a car," John added.
