BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A man was fatally shot at a Fulton Street complex Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The 31-year-old victim was found unconscious around 3:45 p.m. in the rear courtyard of 1605 Fulton Street, near Marcus Garvey Boulevard. The man suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the head and torso, according to officials.

A multi-colored hat and sneakers were scattered at the scene as officers scouted the area shortly after the incident.

The victim, whose identity was not immediately released, was taken to Interfaith Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

“I saw when they took him to the stretcher. His face was covered in blood,” said a resident who declined to give her name.

“It’s too, too bad. I can’t believe they would do this in the middle of the day with kids walking around.”

Two people of interest are in custody for questioning, according to 81st Precinct Deputy Inspector Scott Henderson. The investigation is ongoing.
