Where to Watch Outdoor Movies in NYC This Summer

By Margaret Kelly | May 21, 2015 7:38am | Updated on June 17, 2015 3:59pm

NEW YORK CITY — In this city, summer is the season to pack a picnic basket and a blanket and catch a movie screened beneath the stars. DNAinfo has compiled a comprehensive list of where to watch al fresco films from now through Labor Day.

Many of the events are free, and organizers usually open the area to viewers long before showtime — so be sure to arrive early (with a picnic blanket) to get a good seat.

In case of inclement weather, films may be canceled, relocated or rescheduled: check the movie series website for details.
