MANHATTAN — A cyclist has been terrorizing Manhattan women for nearly three months, riding up to them and snatching their iPhones and purses, police said.

He had not been arrested as of Thursday, police said.

The man, who is usually on a bike with a basket or a Citi Bike, has robbed at least 11 women since Feb. 2, police said. The victims were between the ages of 21 and 42, and the thief has struck between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., NYPD officials said.

In the first Feb. 2 robbery, the man rode up to a 32-year-old woman walking along Sixth Avenue about 11:30 p.m. and swiped an iPhone out of her hand, police said.

Police did not provide a cross street for this incident.

In the latest robbery, the man, who can be seen in video released by police, rode up to a 42-year-old woman in front of 135 E. 17th St., near Third Avenue, about 10:30 p.m. and stole her purse, officials said.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
