BROOKLYN — A fifth suspect was arrested Wednesday for an assault inside a Brooklyn McDonald's that sent a 17-year-old girl to the hospital last week, police said.

Bed-Stuy resident Roget O'Neill, 17, was charged with gang assault for attacking a man who tried to intervene in the May 14 attack, according to the NYPD.

On Tuesday police arrested Amir McCants, 24, of Vinegar Hill, and charged him with inciting riots during the  assault, officials said.

Police said several people attacked a 17-year-old girl inside a McDonald's at 395 Flatbush Avenue — and then turned on a 43-year-old man who tried to stop the assault. During the fight, a man repeatedly urged the attackers to continue their assault by yelling "kill him," officials said.

After the assault, which took place around 2 p.m. and was captured on video, the 17-year-old girl was sent to Brooklyn Hospital where she was treated for bruising to her head and face, an NYPD spokesman said.

The condition of the the 43-year-old man was not immediately available.

Police have also arrested three other suspects in connection with the assault.

Naraine Asjaney, 16, was arrested and charged with assault and Hamilton Kendale, 18, was arrested for gang assault against the 43-year-old victim, the police said. Both are from East New York, the NYPD said.

A 15 year-old female, whose name was not released, has also been arrested and charged with assault, the police said.

Attorney information was not immediately available for the suspects.
