ASTORIA — A 63-year-old man died from injuries caused when an SUV backed into him last week, the NYPD said.

Favhad Chowdhury was crossing 34th Avenue at 28th Street in Astoria just before 5 p.m. on April 8, when he was struck by a 35-year-old who was backing up a Chevy Suburban on the roadway, police said.

Chowdhury was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital, where he died three days later on Monday, according to police.
