New Yorkers lose their minds when a wild animal invades our urban badlands. It's usually a welcomed invasion, like when we spot a seal doing some sunbathing in Inwood or a bald eagle named Vito making a home for himself on Staten Island and even when coyotes wander into Riverside Park. And those three things happened in just the last week! Thank you, Spring.
A turkey is the latest wild beast to be seen in the city, crossing a road in Spuyten Duyvil in the Bronx.
