NEW YORK CITY — Subway service was snarled Friday morning by several incidents affecting multiple lines.
The disruptions began about 8:30 and were mostly cleared, but with some delays, by 11 a.m., officials said.
According to the MTA:
► There was no 5 train service between Eastchester-Dyre Avenue and East 180th Street in both directions.
► Southbound 2 and 5 trains were running with delays due to signal problems at East 180th Street.
► Southbound 5 trains were running local from East 180th Street to 3rd Ave.-149 St.
► Northbound 1 trains were running express from 137th St.-City College to 157 St., due to signal problems at 137 St.-City College.
► Main Street-bound 7 trains were running express from Queensboro Plaza to 74th Street-Broadway due to a train with mechanical problems at 61 St.-Woodside.
► Northbound B and C trains were running express from 59 St.-Columbus Circle to 145 Street due to an NYPD investigation at 135th Street.
The MTA suggests riders allow for extra travel time to reach your destination.
