MANHATTAN — A woman was robbed by two men she met on the street and invited over to her Midtown East apartment in early March, police said.

The 27-year-old woman brought them home on March 8 and then fell asleep about 3 a.m., giving them the opportunity to swipe her iPhone 4, MacBook Pro, debit card and some cash, NYPD officials said.

The duo, who can be seen on surveillance photos released by police, had close cropped hair and were wearing parkas with fur-lined hoods.

It was not immediately clear if the victim knew the thieves and why she invited them home.

An NYPD spokesman did not have further information.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
