WILLIAMSBURG — A woman had her ribs fractured after being beaten and robbed by two gang members she knew in Williamsburg last week, police said.

The victim, 24, was walking to her mother's Bed-Stuy home on Monday, April 6, about 9 p.m. when she was chased by two acquaintances on Flushing Avenue near Whipple Street, police said.

One of the attackers grabbed her by the neck and threw her against the fence, punching her in the chest, police said. The assault bruised her neck and chest, causing a hairline fracture to her ribs, police said.

The man then reached into her front pants pocket and took $200, police said. The second man yelled "hey b--ch" and "shots" to the woman while pointing to his waist band, making her think that he might have a gun, police said.

Police did not say how the victim knew her attackers.

The victim was eventually able to call 911, police said. Both men fled toward Broadway.

The woman ran to her mother's house on Tompkins Avenue and then went to Woodhull Hospital, police said.

The first suspect was described as 22 years old, standing 5-foot-10 and weighing 190 pounds. The second suspect was described as 22 years old, standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 300 pounds. He had braided hair and a tattoo on his arm of a scripture.

Both men are suspected to be affiliated with the Bloods gang, police said.
