Hope he had on a hard shell.
A man dressed as a taco crashed into a car as he skateboarded down the Williamsburg Bridge pedestrian ramp in a ridiculous scene captured by Baby's All Right, a bar at 146 Broadway.
Baby's All Right's Ben Wilkes was filming his co-worker Jon Newport skateboard in a taco costume on video as a promotion for the bar's happy hour special of dollar tacos, according to Animal New York which first spotted the video.
The whole scene looks unreal: in the video, all that can be seen is a giant taco on a skateboard speeding down the bridge ramp. The taco then zooms past the camera and then topples into a passing green sedan, ultimately falling onto the street.
Who would think skating toward moving traffic would be a good idea? Drunk people, obviously.
Wilkes and Newport told Animal New York they had been drinking for about three hours on Saturday when they decided to do it.
Luckily, Newport — who used to skateboard professionally — left the situation unscathed, though the skateboard broke.
The driver, too, was fine.
“I have no idea what happened to me," Newport recalled the driver saying, "because a taco on a skateboard just crashed into me.”
