WILLIAMSBURG — A group of about 10 teen girls hit and threw bleach at a teenager in Williamsburg last week, injuring the victim's eyes, police said.

The female victim, 18, told police she was walking to a deli on Jackson Street near Kingsland Avenue on March 31 around 5 p.m. when a group of about 10 teenage girls approached her, authorities said.

The victim was then hit on the side of the head with a unknown blunt object, and some of the girls threw bleach at the victim's eyes and mouth, police said.

Four people in the group were arrested for assault, police said. All of them, including one 15-year-old girl, were juveniles and were not named, police said.

In a separate incident that occured around the same time, another 16-year-old girl said she was at the same corner when a teenage girl, 15, threw bleach at her, causing her bottom lip to swell and injuring her left eye, police said.

The bleach also damaged the second victim's sweatsuit, worth $130, police said.

It was not clear if the attackers and victims knew each other or if the two incidents were related.

No one has been arrested for the incident. It was unclear if the victim and the group of attackers knew each other.
