PARK SLOPE — It was Good Friday in more than one way for one Park Slope kitty.

A firefighter rescued a cat from a Fifth Avenue blaze on April 3, according to a witness who posted photos on Twitter.

The orange and white feline was seen cradled in the arms of a firefighter in full gear outside the fire at 94 Fifth Ave. between Warren and Baltic streets, according to photos posted by Erika Clark, a Park Slope resident and former recording secretary for the 78th Precinct Community Council.

Clark told DNAinfo New York that the firefighter scooped up the cat as it raced out the door and that the pet was later reunited with its owner.

The FDNY said on Twitter that it responded to the fire and had the blaze under control within minutes. It wasn't immediately known whether anyone was injured.
