FLATIRON — Lunch options near Madison Square Park are about to get broader.

Annual food market Mad. Sq. Eats is returning to the public plaza near Madison Square Park this spring, with new offerings including fresh sushi hand rolls and cheesesteaks drizzled in a truffle sauce.

Like Smorgasburg, Mad. Sq. Eats, which runs from May 1-28 at Worth Square near 25th Street and Broadway, offers food vendors from across the city a chance to serve up their signature foods for guests to enjoy on a pay-per-dish basis.

In its seventh year, Mad. Sq. Eats will include roughly 29 vendors, who will set up booths in the square daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

This year’s line-up includes some new vendors, including Bombay Sandwich Co., Uma Temakeria, Hill Country Barbecue Market, Bankok B.A.R. and cheesesteaks by The Truffleist.

Truffleist will be serving up cheesesteaks made with melted swiss, caramelized onions and peppers and grass-fed beef. It will offer a regular $14 cheesesteak, and one dressed with a truffle cheese sauce for $16.

The Truffleist booth will also offer homemade honey ginger beer, made with local honey, for $4, and $4 Arnold Palmers.

“Cheesesteaks by the Truffleist is all about making a classic sandwich better by using high quality, locally sourced ingredients,” said Jimmy Kunz, a spokesman for The Truffleist.

“People are excited to eat and drink delicious food from across the city in a spectacular outdoor setting. The options in the neighborhood are limited so people really look forward to this event.”

Other new vendors include:

Uma Temakeria: serving fresh sushi hand rolls.

Hill Country Barbecue Market: serving typical menu of barbecued meats.

Bombay Sandwich Co.: serving healthy sandwiches inspired by Indian flavors alongside a choice of chutneys and housemade sauces.

Bangkok B.A.R.: serving pad thai, curry rice bowls, Thai beer and Thai coffee.

Returning vendors include:  Red Hook Lobster Pound, Roberta’s, Momofuku Milk Bar and Mexicue.

The festival, run by UrbanSpace, will run daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. from May 1 to May 28.
