MIDTOWN — Police are looking for a thief who has been stealing bags, computers and cash from restaurants and buildings for months.

The man, who is described as 220 pounds and was last seen wearing tan work boots, jeans and a black jacket, is suspected in six burglaries in Midtown and Little Italy between November and March, the NYPD said.

In November, he went into a commercial building on Lafayette Street through an unlocked cellar door and stole a leather backpack, police said.

He made off with an iPad and bag from Balzem Restaurant on Mott Street on December 15, according to police, and stole three computers from a commercial building at 150 W. 30th St. on New Year’s Eve.

In January he took a Brighton wallet from O’Donoghue’s Bar on West 44th Street, and in March, stole $372 cash from a desk drawer at 134 W. 37 St., which he entered through a freight elevator, the NYPD said.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
