ARROCHAR — An MTA train conductor was arrested Wednesday after he called up his girlfriend and threatened to "hurt her," a law enforcement source said.

Brandon Soto, 43, of Arrochar, went into his 41-year-old girlfriend's Grasmere Avenue apartment on Feb. 19 around 5:32 p.m. without her permission, according to sources and the Staten Island District Attorney.

On March 7 around 10:21 p.m., Soto called his girlfriend of more than two years and told her "I'll damage your car. Better yet, I'll hurt you," prosecutors said.

He's worked as an MTA train conductor since 2011 and has not been suspended, according to the MTA.

Soto was arrested Wednesday and charged with aggravated harassment and criminal trespass at his arraignment, the District Attorney's office said. He was released without bail.

A lawyer for Soto could not immediately be reached for comment.
