QUEENS — Times Square-bound 7 trains were running with delays Tuesday morning due to a signal problem in Sunnyside, according to the MTA's website.

The alert advised riders to allow additional travel time because of a signal problem at the 40th Street station in Sunnyside.

There were also delays Tuesday morning on Broad Street-bound J trains and Forest Hills-bound M trains due to signal problems at Marcy Avenue, according to an MTA announcement.

A non-passenger train derailment at Longwood Avenue in The Bronx had also halted southbound 6 express trains in the borough, and there were delays on southbound 4 and local 6 trains, according to the MTA.

It was not immediately clear if the transit issues were weather-related. Ice on the third rail suspended 7 train service on the entire line for several hours earlier this month.

Service on the East River Ferry was also suspended Tuesday due to ice on the waterway.
