Gonzalez, of Corona, did not have a license to operate the truck, police said, and fled the scene.

An eyewitness to the crash followed him, though, and he was arrested a few blocks away at 73rd Street and 41st Avenue, police said.

He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a license, according to police.
