CARROLL GARDENS — A Brooklyn church’s Kickstarter campaign to restore a 1890s grand piano raised far more than its $13,000 goal this month — leaving it enough additional cash to launch a local concert series this fall, organizers said.

Saint Agnes Roman Catholic Church raised $13,413 online and an additional $7,200 from church parishioners and community members offline — for a total of $20,613 to fund its planned overhaul of its Wissner grand piano.

More than 100 donors, including 66 parishioners, pitched in cash to help restore the piano that hasn't been played in years because of disrepair,  according to church volunteer Anthony Cucchiara.

“It was really a sensational campaign,” Cucchiara, 64 said.

Big Wrench Piano will begin the restoration work on the piano in early April and is expected to take about a month-and-a-half to two months, he said.

The additional funds will go towards maintenance of the piano and launching a local concert series, he said.

Saint Agnes is currently putting together a committee to organize the monthly music events that will showcase local musicians and groups at the 433 Sackett St. church, beginning in September, Cucchiara said.

But before that, donors and local residents will have a chance to listen to the newly refurbished piano during a celebratory concert in June.
