Man Killed in Broad Daylight at Walt Whitman Houses in Fort Greene: Police

FORT GREENE — A man was shot and killed in the Walt Whitman Houses in the middle of the afternoon Thursday, according to police.

Kevin Colon, 20, who lived in the housing project, was shot in the stomach and taken to Brooklyn Hospital where he died, police said.

There were no arrests made, according to the NYPD.

This is the second shooting in the Fort Greene public houses this month.

A 23-year-old man was shot in the right foot at Walt Whitman Houses on Feb. 9 around 9:30 p.m., NYPD said.

No arrests were made in that incident, police said.
