Meteorologists seemed hestiant to make predicitions about the upcoming storm after admitting that they dropped the ball in predicting the snowfall expected for the blizzard earlier this week.

At one point, they said up to 3 feet of the white stuff could fall, but most of the city only got several inches.

For Friday night, forecasters are predicting bitterly cold temperatures with the mercury falling into the single digits.

The bitter winds — which could blow as hard as 39 mph with a windchill of 10 below — are expected to last all day Saturday, according to the National Weather ServiceTemperatures will remain in the low 20s that day.

The city's Office of Emergency Management warned of "dangerously frigid temperatures and life-threatening wind chill to follow Friday through Saturday."

While the city will see an uptick into the 30s on Sunday, the storm will move into the area at night with snow possibly turning to sleet or rain through Monday, experts say.

They say snow will begin around 7 p.m. and last through Monday afternoon. Temperatures will be in the 20s with wind chills of around 5 degrees.
