ROSSVILLE — A Staten Island man with a suspended driver's license ignored Mayor Bill de Blasio's travel ban during this week's snowstorm to do donuts with his 4-wheel drive vehicle in a parking lot, police said.

Michael Berkman, 34, drove his 1990 red Jeep Cherokee nearly 12 miles from his Concord home to the Lowe's parking lot at 2790 Arthur Kill Road around 2:47 a.m. Tuesday during the heavy snow storm, police said.

Forecasters expected the city to be hit with up to 30 inches of snow and de Blasio closed all roads to non-emergency vehicles from 11 p.m. Monday to 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Police found Berkman driving his 4x4 in circles in the lot during the storm and saw he had a suspended license after they stopped him, police said.

He was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and given a desk appearance ticket, a law enforcement source said.
