BROOKLYN — A veteran off-duty Brooklyn police officer with three decades on the force was arrested for driving drunk after he crashed his car during the snowstorm Monday night, according to the NYPD.

Joseph Mcauliffe, 56, was charged with a DWI after he hit another vehicle at East 58th Street and Kings Highway in East Flatbush about 10 p.m., a police spokeswoman said.

Police refused to say if the 30-year veteran had just gotten off work when the accident happened.

All non-emergency vehicles were supposed to be off the road by 11 p.m. Monday.

There were no injuries in the accident.

Mcauliffe was expected to be arraigned Wednesday when courts reopen after being closed Tuesday because of the storm.
