UPPER WEST SIDE — A thirsty thief broke through the front door of a local wine bar — stealing $750 in cash and bottles of pricey Patrón and Johnnie Walker Black Label, police said.

The suspect broke through the front door of Bar Rique on West 70th Street Sunday night about 11:30 p.m., targeting the cash register before turning his attention to the hard stuff, the NYPD said.

After grabbing the cash, he also nabbed a bottle of Patrón tequila and one of Johnnie Walker Black Label single malt scotch, which were valued at $160, police said.

Police had no description of the suspect.

Bar Rique first opened as ParkWest in the spring of 2013 with plans to be a late-night hangout spot that rivaled the Dakota Bar and Cafe Tallulah. In December of that year, the owners changed the name and vision of the spot, reopening as a wine and tapas bar

The 1,800-square-foot restaurant is currently listed for sale by Walker Malloy for $13,791 a month.

The owner did not respond to a request for comment.
