MIDTOWN EAST — Police are looking for a serial burglar who broke into 10 apartments on the East Side over the past year — making off with laptops, cameras, iPads and cash, NYPD said.

Most recently, he struck two homes on East 51st and 50th streets on Dec. 20, 2014, police said. He entered one at 11 a.m. and stole an iPod, a digital camera, a leather portfolio and a Burberry watch. He broke into the other between 6:15 p.m. and 6:25 p.m., but fled with no property, police said.

The first incident in the series of burglaries took place between 7:40 a.m. and 8:04 a.m. on Feb. 11, 2014, when the suspect entered an East 51st Street apartment and swiped two Nikon cameras and a laptop, police said.

He then struck three apartments on the night of Feb. 22, 2014, the NYPD said. Between 8:15 and 8:45 p.m., he stole $1,150 in cash from an apartment on First Avenue but failed to grab anything from an adjacent property he entered, police said. During the third incident, he broke into an apartment at East 52nd Street and First Avenue by climbing a fire escape and forcing open a sliding door in the rear of the apartment about 9:30 p.m., police said. He grabbed unspecified items and fled.

The man hit an apartment on Lexington Avenue between 8:50 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 4, 2014, and took off with undetermined items, police said.

He entered three more apartments on East 55th Street between 8:30 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. on Dec. 12, 2014, and stole gadgets including laptops and iPads, police said.
