LONGWOOD — A dramatic video released by police shows a gunman opening fire on the victim in The Bronx, killing the 21-year-old man.

The suspect can be seen talking to his victim outside of 835 E. 152nd St. at about 10 p.m. Monday before suddenly raising his weapon and squeezing off several rounds, then running away, police said.

The gunman, who was still at large as of Wednesday, left victim Richard Kelly to die on the building's front stoop, bleeding from wounds to his back and legs, according to police and then the video.

Kelly had gotten into an argument near his home with the gunman, who had just left a local liquor store, according to the NYPD. There is no sign that the two knew each other beforehand.

In the video, the suspect can be seen standing near the edge of a small group, wearing a watchman's cap and a dark hoodie, shifting from one foot to the other as people in the crowd seem to edge away just before he opens fire.

An additional video released by the NYPD more clearly shows the three people standing near the gunman. They flee the scene as the suspect opens fire and are wanted for questioning about the murder, police said.

Kelly was taken to Lincoln Hospital and pronounced dead, police said.

There had been no arrests as of Wednesday, and the investigation was ongoing.

Kelly was a member of a crew called the Jackson Avenue Gunners and had drugs on him when he was shot, police said. He had 19 prior arrests, including charges of strangulation and criminal possession of a weapon, according to the NYPD.

Anyone with information about this murder is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES), then entering TIP577.
