QUEENS — Police are looking for a teenager who they said kidnapped her friend’s 3-month-old son from an apartment in Jamaica. The boy was later found safe outside Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, police said.

Authorities said that 18-year-old Sharondalis Morgan, the alleged kidnapper, recently befriended the baby’s mother.

On Sunday, Jan. 4, Morgan was visiting the woman at her apartment on 177th Street, near 103rd Road, in Jamaica, police said.

When the boy’s mother left the room at about 3:40 p.m., Morgan took the baby and fled, officials said.

It was not immediately clear how the baby ended up at the hospital in Brooklyn, but police said that the boy was found “in good health.”

Officials described Morgan as standing 5-foot-2 and weighting 150 pounds.

Police released a photo of Morgan from a previous arrest for criminal sale of marijuana in 2014.
