BROOKLYN — A woman was found dead with her throat slashed in her Bushwick apartment Saturday morning, police said.

Ruth Maceira, 48, was found inside her fourth-floor apartment at 116 Grove St., near Evergreen Avenue, about 11:15 a.m., according to the NYPD.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, and the city's medical examiner ruled her death a homicide, officials said.

A person of interest was taken into custody at the scene, but an NYPD spokesman did not know the identity of the person or the relationship to the victim. No one had been charged as of Monday.
