HELL'S KITCHEN — Get the best present a New Yorker could hope for this holiday season: an affordable apartment.

Gotham West, a stretch of luxury buildings on West 45th Street between 10th and 11th avenues, is offering 45 below-market apartments through a lottery that is open now and runs until Dec. 26, according to a city posting.

Rents range from $2,460 for two-bedrooms to $3,483 for three-bedrooms, and all apartments come with KitchenAid appliances, hardwood floors and river views, the building's website says.

The building has 24-hour lobby service, a fitness center and a children’s playground, and it is next to Gotham West Market, where vendors include Blue Bottle Coffee, Choza Taqueria, Ivan Ramen Slurp Shop and, soon, Prospect Heights' Ample Hills Creamery.

To qualify for the apartments households of two or more people must earn between $86,435 and $158,895.

The city previously had trouble filling some middle-income spots in Gotham West during the initial 2012 lottery, the Post reported in September

Potential residents can apply for the Gotham West lottery online at the city's Housing Connect website, or pick up a paper copy of the application at the front desk at 530 W. 45th St.
