Service Changes Planned for 10 Subway Lines This Weekend

MIDTOWN — Service changes are planned for 10 subway lines this weekend as MTA track and station work takes place.

Here's a breakdown of the changes by line:

2 Line: From 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday, Wakefield-bound 2 trains will run express from East 180th Street to Gun Hill Road.

4 Line: From 12:45 a.m. to 4 a.m. Saturday, Woodlawn-bound 4 trains will run express from Union Square to Grand Central.

6 Line: From 12:45 a.m. to 4 a.m. Saturday, Pelham Bay Park-bound 6 trains will run express from Union Square to Grand Central.

Until February 2015, 6 trains will skip Zerega Avenue and Buhre Avenue in both directions.

For service to and from Zerega Avenue, use the Bx4 or shuttle buses to connect between Zerega Avenue and Castle Hill Avenue.

For service to and from Buhre Avenue, use the Bx8, Bx24 or shuttle buses to connect between Buhre Avenue and Middletown Road.

Free transfer will be available with a MetroCard.

A Line: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 4:45 a.m. Monday, A trains will be suspended in both directions between Ozone Park-Lefferts Boulevard and Rockaway Boulevard. Brooklyn-bound A trains will skip Rockaway Boulevard and 88th Street. Free shuttle buses will operate between 80th Street and Ozone Park-Lefferts Boulevard, stopping at 88th Street, Rockaway Boulevard, 104th Street and 111th Street. Transfer between free shuttle buses and A trains at 80th Street.

Until January 2015, Manhattan-bound A trains will skip 104th Street and 88th Street.

For service to 104th Street, take a Brooklyn-bound A to Rockaway Boulevard and transfer to an Ozone Park-Lefferts Boulevard-bound train. For service from 104th Street, take an Ozone Park-Lefferts Boulevard-bound A train to 111th Street or Ozone Park-Lefferts Boulevard and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A train.

For service to 88th Street, take the Brooklyn-bound A train to 80th Street and transfer to a Rockaway-Mott Avenue or Ozone Park-Lefferts Boulevard-bound A train. For service from 88th Street, take a Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue or Ozone Park-Lefferts Boulevard-bound A train to Rockaway Boulevard and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A train.

D Line: From 10:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Norwood-bound D trains will run express from 145th Street to Tremont Avenue.

E Line: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Manhattan-bound E trains will run express from Forest Hills-71st Avenue to Roosevelt Avenue.

G Line: From 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, G trains will run every 20 minutes between Court Square and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues. The last stop for some Court Square-bound G trains will be Bedford-Nostrand Avenue. To continue the trip, transfer at Bedford-Nostrand Avenues to a Court Square-bound G.

N Line: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, N trains will be rerouted via the Q line in both directions between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue.

Q Line: From 5:45 a.m. Saturday to 6 p.m. Sunday, Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue-bound Q trains will run express from Prospect Park to Sheepshead Bay.

R Line: From 6 a.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday, R trains will be rerouted via the Q line in both directions between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue.
