WEST VILLAGE — Want to eat a fancy dinner for free? Wear your ugliest sweater to the West Village's Louro on Dec. 22.

Or, if you want to hedge your bets: Show up early in a pink bunny suit.

The first three people to arrive to Louro's "A Christmas Story" dinner in a pink bunny suit like the one worn by Ralphie in the movie will dine on the house, chef David Santos said.

"Nothing makes me laugh more than seeing the Ralphie character in that pink bunny suit," said Santos.

The customer wearing the ugliest sweater will also get a free meal.

The dinner runs $55 per person and is BYOB. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and dinner will be served promptly at 7.

The menu, with dish names inspired by the film, features items like foie gras-stuffed quail with farro and apricot puree ("You'll Shoot Your Eye Out," a nod to the warning given to Ralphie about his new BB gun) and a dessert of Ovaltine ice cream, toasted marshmallow and chocolate crumble ("The Little Orphan Annie," named for Ralphie's favorite radio show).

This is Santos' second tribute to his favorite holiday flick, and he's hoping this year's will be even more popular than the last.

"Our first pink bunny showed up in the rain three hours before dinner even started," Santos said.
